I normally hit the MLK Parade in Miami every year, but since I moved I wont be able to make it. Every year the parade starts off nice, school bands, local leaders riding in convertable rentals or whatever – Then towards the end of the day an incident happens where someone gets hurt or killed by the police. How much have we improved ourselves since he gave his life fighting for equality?
Do we as a people REALLY realize what our brothers and sisters of the 50′s & 60′s accomplished? Sometimes when I look at the youth of today I wonder.

HONESTLY? I dont think he would care. I for one am an individual who took full advantage of what he gave his life for. I went to school, got an education, employ my own, and I do what I can to educate others on what is right. I know Im not the only black person doing this, but I point this out because I know what he lived & died for and I appreciate it. His image is not portrayed in a bad light, I put it up to because it was celebrating his birthday.

I understand where you are coming from. I know I cant predict the entire effect of my work, but I know I do bring smiles to alot of faces. Thanks for sharing your point of view.
